I was commissioned by The Telegraph UK to produce images for an editorial piece on the Nirav Modi jewellery brand. The brief included documenting the making of the jewellery at their workshop in Mumbai, photographing their flagship store at Kala Godha and documenting their royal five year celebration at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The celebration included a beautifully designed fashion show, in which the models were dressed in clothes made of fresh flowers that had been sewn in just a few hours before the event. This was accompanied by an eloquently designed exhibition of the jewellery and a royal feast at the gardens of the palace in company of Maharaja Gaj Singh.
The article, which is written by Saphora Smith, was published in November, 2016.
